Jardin Truillot is a green space of just under 5,600 m² in Paris’s 11th arrondissement. It has been designed with ecological principles and includes a wetland area, flowering fallow land, grapevines and fruit trees. A broad promenade connects Boulevard Voltaire with Boulevard Richard-Lenoir.

Culture and history
Atelier des Lumières is housed in a former foundry dating from 1835 that was converted into a digital art centre in 2018. It presents digital, immersive and contemporary exhibitions.

Jules Léotard invented the flying trapeze at Cirque d’Hiver on 12 November 1859. Cirque d’Hiver also offers historical tours of the building, separate from its shows.
The former prison gate and a commemorative plaque have been preserved at Square de la Roquette. Today’s Square de la Roquette was created on the site of prisons that operated from 1830 to 1974.
The Musée Édith Piaf was established in 1978 in the apartment where Édith Piaf lived with her daughter Marcelle. In two rooms of an apartment where Piaf lived for a short time, the museum displays personal belongings, photographs, letters and memorabilia. It welcomes visitors by prior appointment at 5 Rue Crespin du Gast in the 11th arrondissement.
At the boulangerie, the shopfront and interior decor were listed as protected heritage by decree of 23 May 1984.

The programme at Bataclan at 50 Boulevard Voltaire in Paris’s 11th arrondissement includes concerts, festivals, as well as sports and yoga activities. Bataclan describes itself as a rock-oriented artistic venue that brings together various musical genres. An electrifying event helped Bataclan regain recognition as a venue and an iconic meeting place for the rock scene.
