Culture
Since 1995, Halle Saint-Pierre has presented more than 70 exhibitions of unusual and non-conformist forms of contemporary art. It houses a museum of art brut, a gallery, a bookshop, an auditorium and a café.
In 1871, Montmartre was the birthplace of the libertarian social movement known as the Commune of Paris.
Nature
The Cimetière de Montmartre is a historic cemetery protected as a Monument historique. Along its 20-metre difference in elevation, it offers remarkable views of Paris. Its grounds are home to almost 800 trees representing 38 different species.

Visiting

From Monday to Sunday, the Institut des Cultures d’Islam offers guided tours lasting two and a half to three hours for groups of up to 30 people, by reservation. These start at 19, rue Léon.
The restaurant and tea room at the Institut des Cultures d’Islam serve home-style cooking with Mediterranean influences from Tuesday to Sunday, including traditional or Berber couscous.
