Yvetot: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Yvetot’s market has been a trading place in the Pays de Caux since the Middle Ages and was historically associated in particular with the trade in cloth and various fabrics. It takes place all year round on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Fruit and vegetables, dairy products and, at specialised stalls, dried fruit, sausages, berries, mushrooms, oysters and foie gras are available.

Culture

The Église Saint-Pierre d’Yvetot features 1,026 m² of stained glass by Max Ingrand. The church building was constructed between 1951 and 1956.

The Musée des Ivoires displays municipal collections of ivory objects, mostly dating from the late 19th to the early 20th century, as well as terracotta, faience and rare works. The Musée des Ivoires is a free municipal museum in Yvetot, open to everyone.

The Manoir du Fay is located in a Clos-masure typical of the Pays de Caux and amid a seven-hectare orchard. It is a building erected at the beginning of the 17th century for Pierre Corneille’s great-uncle. The Manoir du Fay is closed to the public; visits are possible as part of organised tours by the association “Faire Vivre le Manoir du Fay” or during the Heritage Days.

The Musée Saint-Louis is a memorial site preserving around twenty surviving elements of the former Saint-Louis chapel.
