Sainte-Beuve-en-Rivière is one of the municipalities within the ZNIEFF Basse forêt d'Eu area. Part of the Basse forêt d'Eu belongs to the Natura 2000 site FR2300136 “La forêt d'Eu et les pelouses adjacentes”. The ZNIEFF Basse forêt d'Eu encompasses the entire Basse forêt d'Eu forest massif as well as several hectares of meadows along the northern edges of the forest. The Basse forêt d'Eu is home to trees that are more than 200 years old.

The Forêt d'Eu lies at the gates of Sainte-Beuve-en-Rivière and offers visitors panoramas featuring forest ponds, woodland edges, clearings and former wet meadows.
