Culture and history

The church of La Chapelle-sur-Dun replaced an earlier church dating from the 11th century. The Terre et Couleur artists’ studio offers painting courses for children and adults.

Terre d'Accord is a two-hectare landscaped studio of living art, divided into four gardens. The “Terre d'Accord” art garden is home to around sixty sculptures and includes the artist’s studio. By prior arrangement, Terre d'Accord offers guided walks for groups of five or more, as well as self-guided garden visits by prior arrangement.

Trails

The circular trail Circuit N°7 – Les chemins de forrières is 8.6 km long, 6.2 km of which runs along paths. It follows former Forrières paths, past fields and between villages.

The Circuit N°13 – Patrimoine de la Vallée du Dun is 7.8 km long; 5 km of it runs along paths. The circular trail passes manor houses, dovecotes, typical farmhouses and thatched-roof houses.

Landscape

The Parc du Château Saint Jean is an English-style landscape park with a fountain, a pond, avenues of roses, hydrangeas, perennials and remarkable two-hundred-year-old trees. The park was completely renovated and expanded between 1987 and 1991. In summer, only the park can be visited at the Parc du Château Saint Jean.
