Nature

The Durdent rises in Héricourt-en-Caux. The “Parcours du Saint-Mellon” is an educational trail about the importance of wetlands and the role of the Durdent, and passes through a wetland area.

Culture

The Château du Boscol is partly listed as a protected historic monument. The protected area includes the château, the chapel, the dovecote and the park’s enclosing walls. The château dates from the 16th and 17th centuries and has a one-kilometre-long beech avenue.

The Chapelle Saint Riquier is considered to be an 11th-century chapel. It was built around 1715 on the site of an older building from the 11th or 12th century and now hosts art exhibitions and cultural events. The present-day Saint-Denis church dates from the 19th century and preserves a 13th-century baptismal font. The Saint Mellon spring is a pilgrimage site.

At the Moulin Quetteville, the mill wheel and a lock can still be seen.

Trails

“Sur les pas de Jehan le Povremoyne” is listed in the PDESI and classified as a level 2 hiking route of departmental interest. The trail is 10.6 kilometres long.

“Aux Sources de la Durdent” is a cultural and historical circular trail approximately 2 kilometres long, for which around 1.5 hours is specified. It starts at the car park of the Salle des Fêtes on Place Roncaro, near the football stadium. The circular trail includes a booklet of games specifically designed for children.

“Sur les pas de Jehan le Povremoyne” starts at the car park of the Salle Roncaro on the Route du Moulin Bleu, where vehicles can be parked.

Other activities

The “Entre Seine et Mer à Vélo” cycle route starts in Héricourt-en-Caux and heads towards the Seine Valley or as far as Veulettes-sur-Mer on the coast.

The Centre Equestre de la Durdent offers riders of all ages training with a view to taking part in competitions in show jumping, eventing and Horse Ball. On request, it also offers horse rides.
