Coast and trails

The Avenue Verte follows a former railway line; from Rue de la Gare, it leads to the Offranville plateau.

The “De la Vallée de la Scie au Bois de Bernouville” route crosses the three hamlets of Hautot-sur-Mer and leads to Pourville Beach, situated between two cliffs.

At Pourville-sur-Mer Beach, swimming in the sea or lake is supervised in summer. Surf'in Pourville offers activities in Pourville-sur-Mer such as surfing, bodyboarding, stand-up paddleboarding, skimboarding and sea kayaking. Group and private lessons are also available, as well as equipment rental. Group courses are limited to eight participants, while private lessons are offered by reservation.

Golf de Dieppe-Pourville is located on the cliffs and overlooks the sea and the Pourville valley.

Nature

The Bois de Bernouville – Vallée de la Scie area is designated both as a Type 1 ZNIEFF and as a Natura 2000 site.

The Bois de Bernouville coastal forest covers approximately 60 hectares and is classified by the Seine-Maritime département as an Espace Naturel Sensible.

The European barbastelle bat (Barbastelle d’Europe) and the greater horseshoe bat (Grand Rhinolophe) are found in the Bois de Bernouville; both are described as particularly noteworthy and rare in Haute-Normandie.

The Seine-Maritime département offers walks in the Bois de Bernouville throughout the year.

Culture and leisure

The Saint-Thomas-de-Canterbury Chapel in Pourville was built around 1886 near the ruins of the former church. Fragments of the former church have been preserved in the present-day chapel in Pourville.

The ruins of the Château des Comtes d’Hautot date back to the 11th century.

The Grange Monet is located near Pourville, a few hundred meters from the beach, and can be admired from a wooden footbridge; it was immortalized several times by a famous artist.

The mini-golf course has 18 holes, covers 2,000 m² and welcomes players daily from March 1 to October 31.
