Culture and history
The renovated Chapelle Notre-Dame de Lourdes serves as a cultural venue. The Chapelle de Grainval is an early-20th-century chapel made of brick and flint; its stained-glass windows incorporate maritime themes. It also bears the “Patrimoine rural de la Seine-Maritime” designation and is located near the Vélomaritime – EuroVelo 4.
The Abbatiale de la Trinité monastery is in the immediate vicinity of Grainval. The Château de Valmont and the historic site of Abbaye Notre-Dame-du-Pré are in the surrounding area of Grainval. In connection with the spring at Grainval, the mason Louis Bigot dug an underground channel from 1836 to 1842 to supply Fécamp with drinking water. Tours of the tunnel are offered rarely and require reservations.
