In Fresne-le-Plan, Les Malières combines a walk in the countryside with the discovery of cultural heritage. The easy hiking route is 7.5 kilometres long and takes approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes. It begins at the Eglise de Fresne-le-Plan, where the starting marker is located in the church square, and then follows the purple markers of loop 14 „De Martainville à Mesnil Raoul“. A cemetery cross from the 18th century can be seen along the route. It also points out remarkable 17th-century barns in the hamlets of Fresne-le-Plan, which can be seen during a walk, and highlights an 18th-century dovecote as part of the rural cultural heritage. The private Manoir de Fresnay, dating from 1766, is also located along this route.

Culture

The oldest part of the Eglise Saint-Pierre et Saint-Paul dates from the 12th century. The stone buttresses on which the bell tower rests have been preserved in the lower section. The nave and choir were rebuilt between 1760 and 1780.

The Manoir du Fresnay dates from the first half of the 18th century and was successively owned by François de Rougeville and his son François Pierre de Rougeville. In Fresne-le-Plan, walkers can see old bread ovens on private property. They can also see old manor houses on private property there.

Le Four à Pain is a completely renovated, detached former 19th-century bread oven near the Gîte Le Pressoir G4062; it features clay and half-timbered construction.

Guests at Ferme des Marronniers can, on request, visit the owners' dairy farm in the village and watch the cows being milked and the calves being given water.

Events

Printemps de Fresne was organised again by the AFT and took place on Saturday, 28 March 2026, from 8 p.m. at the Salle Espelan in Fresne-le-Plan; the event was open to everyone.

Transport

Bus route 512 runs between Rouen and Perriers-sur-Andelle via Fresne-le-Plan and Mesnil-Raoul.
