Culture
The Église Saint-Michel is one of the town’s distinctive historic buildings: its present structure was begun in 1774 according to plans by the Parisian architect Pierre Patte. Inside, the church displays a total of more than 60 statues and stained-glass windows to visitors. It also has an organ that was built in 1630 for a church in Rouen and classified as a historic monument in 1992.
The Chapelle Sainte-Anne was inaugurated in 1904 in the Byzantine and Romanesque styles. Its stained-glass windows, designed in 2023, depict the industrial, architectural and cultural history of the municipality of Bolbec.
History
Bolbec’s Protestant temple also documents the town’s religious history. Its construction was completed in 1797, and the first service there took place at Christmas 1797. In May 1852, an organ built by the Cavaillé-Coll company was installed in the temple.
Places
The textile past is brought to life at the Atelier-Musée du Textile. It is located on the grounds of the former Desgenétais factory on Rue Auguste Desgenétais. During tours, the museum demonstrates the use of the older textile machines. The collection includes original and reproduced Indiennes as well as printed fabrics.
Bolbec’s historic library preserves rare works such as “Description de l’Égypte” and “Les Galeries historiques de Versailles” by Charles Gavard. It contains 3,700 works in large bookcases and can now only be visited by special request or on a special occasion.
The intermunicipal Médiathèque Caux Seine agglo in Bolbec offers books, audio recordings, magazines, CDs, sheet music and DVDs for use on site or for borrowing. Throughout the year, it hosts stories, storytelling sessions, arts and crafts workshops, philosophy workshops, digital workshops, exhibitions and concerts.
Val-aux-Grès includes a 67-hectare green space. Today, Val-aux-Grès is a cultural centre of the town of Bolbec. Following several redesigns and the creation of a central square, the site also became home to the Maison des Jeunes et de la Culture.

Regional bus route 506 serves, among others, the Beau Séjour, Pont Bellet, Place Félix Faure and Le Viaduc stops in Bolbec.
