Nature

The municipality of Bois-Guillaume has numerous footpaths and cycle paths; many routes can be explored on foot, on horseback or by bicycle. The 11-kilometre “Cailly-Robec” cycle route passes through Bois-Guillaume and runs between Maromme railway station and the Carrefour de la Vielle.

The “Mares en verger” biodiversity trail begins at the corner of Rue Noble Épine and Rue Tourne Midi, near number 545 Rue du Tourne Midi. Along the route, it provides information about natural habitats such as ponds, hedges, an orchard and the forest.

Parc Andersen covers two hectares; its area is classified as woodland. It has a large playground that can accommodate around forty children aged 2 to 12 at the same time.

Paths and Activities

The “Plaine de la Ronce” cycle route runs through Bois-Guillaume from north to south, between the ZAC de la Plaine de la Ronce and the Carrefour de la Vielle. It passes through the Rouges Terres cemetery, the Sente des Forrières, Avenue Henri Dunant and Chemin de la Bretèque.

The Bois-Guillaume pony club offers riding lessons for children aged 4 to 17 from Monday to Saturday. During the school holidays, the pony club also offers riding courses, hacks, competitions and treks.

Culture

The Sainte-Trinité Church preserves the lantern tower and the former nave of the older church. The Espace Guillaume le Conquérant in Bois-Guillaume is an event venue at 1530 Rue de la Haie.

The Manoir presbytéral is a rare half-timbered building in Bois-Guillaume and is listed in the General Inventory of France’s historic monuments and treasures. In 2010, after almost two years of work, it was restored and opened its doors to cultural activities such as solfège, visual arts and sculpture.

Transport

Bus route F1 connects Bois-Guillaume (Rouges Terres) with Grand-Quevilly (Zénith-Parc Expo), while bus 321 runs from Bois-Guillaume (Collège L. de Vinci) to Rouen (Gare-Rue Verte). Route 11 connects Isneauville (Petit-Pont) with Amfreville-la-Mivoie (Grand Val), route 40 connects Mont-Saint-Aignan (La Varenne) with Rouen (Boulingrin), and bus 305 runs from Rouen (Lycée Flaubert) to Isneauville (Petit Pont).
