Neuville-sur-Touques: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Culture and history

The Church of Saint-Germain-d'Auxerre contains an altarpiece, a lectern eagle and a carved corpus of Christ. All three objects are classified as historical monuments. The year 1609 can still be read on a stone in the south wall. According to a charter dated to Henry I, the Church of Saint-Germain-d'Auxerre was affiliated with Saint-Pierre-sur-Dives.

The Bove des Chevaliers was an underground refuge in the middle of La Jaunière Forest. It was laid out according to a symbolic cruciform ground plan and essentially comprised two rooms called “La Chapelle” and “Les Chevaliers”. The Bove collapsed in 1952; however, a plan and a precise survey drawing have survived.

For 20 years, the inhabitants of Neuville-sur-Touques have gathered in summer for a rural communal meal.

The La Bassière hiking route starts at the church in Neuville-sur-Touques. It is 9 km long and takes approximately 2 hours and 25 minutes.

Workshop and local offerings

The Warnier Workshop offers introductory modelling classes several times a month. Unique, hand-shaped or hand-painted pieces can also be viewed there; visitors are asked to make contact in advance.
