Bec Corbin is a rocky escarpment overlooking Château de La Forêt-Auvray. At Bec Corbin, there is a 4 to 6 m-high rocky outcrop located 50 m above the river. Rare, regionally protected plant species grow on the escarpment. The ZNIEFF Vallée de l’Orne includes Ménil-Hermei and features a deeply incised valley with wooded slopes, rocky habitats, and rare animal and plant species; the European otter (Lutra lutra) occurs in this area.

Hiking
The 8 km Rand'eau route from the Orne to the heights of Ménil-Hermei leads to a natural area classified as a Natura 2000 site. The red-and-white-marked GR® 36 runs at the foot of Bec Corbin and along the Orne River. The “Le Bec Corbin” circular trail is a 7 km route in the Val d’Orne Topoguide in Suisse Normande. The GR® Tour de la Suisse Normande is also listed as a route for exploring Bec Corbin.
Culture
The parish church of Notre-Dame in Ménil-Hermei was rebuilt from 1898 onwards, replacing an older building recorded in the 1828 Napoleonic cadastre. The stained-glass windows of Notre-Dame were made by Mazuet, a glass artist from Bayeux.
In the vicinity of Ménil-Hermei are Château Ganne, a castle, and Château de Falaise, also a castle. The Abbaye de Villers-Canivet is a historic site there, while the Ancien lavoir is a monument.
