Culture

A procession in honour of Saint Laumer takes place on the Sunday closest to 19 January.

Between 1852 and 1854, the nave of Saint-Laumer Church was extended and raised; the small spire was replaced by a tall square tower, carefully built from flint and “Grisons”.

The “Grison” extracted in the municipality was used both as iron ore and supplied to the Moulin Renaud blast furnace in La Madeleine-Bouvet, and as a building stone, including for Saint-Laumer Church.

Nature

Le Pas-Saint-l'Homer is located in the Parc Naturel Régional du Perche.

The Le Livier stream crosses Le Pas-Saint-l'Homer and drains towards the Seine basin.

The Rivière Sèche, known downstream as the Donnette, feeds the Loire basin.

The area stretches across a loess plateau, characterised by flint along its western edge and reaching an elevation of 231 metres near Bourg Neuf.

Large blocks of sandstone conglomerate with siliceous cement are scattered across the northern part of the area; they are known as “Perrons”, and many protrude from the ground.

Near Bois Moreau, the “Grosses Pierres” is a remarkable rock formation located in a pasture and the largest concentration of such rocks in the municipality.

Hiking

The “Le bras du loup” circular hiking trail passes through Le Pas-Saint-l'Homer; more than 50 percent of the route follows paved roads.
