Culture

In Fresneaux stands a 13th-century chapel. It is the only surviving older building of a former Templar commandery, which had been founded on a route between Chartres and Mont-Saint-Michel.

Sainte-Eulalie is a Romanesque church with architectural elements from the 12th, 14th and 19th centuries. Its furnishings include a limestone Renaissance-style altarpiece, assembled in 1862 from three bas-reliefs depicting scenes from the Christmas cycle. These bas-reliefs had been transferred from the chapel of the Médavi manor house.

The main altar ensemble at Sainte-Eulalie also includes an altarpiece from the second half of the 18th century, a winged tabernacle from the 17th century and a painting by Charles Louis Dufresne dated 1699.

Sainte-Eulalie is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. from 1 July to 31 August.

Nature

The Ateliers d'antan were scheduled for 10:30 a.m. at the Sources de l'Orne on 15 July and 19 August 2026. The programme included demonstrations and activities involving weaving, traditional washing and plant-based dyeing.

On Saturday, 17 May, a night-time cultural programme ran from 8 to 10 p.m. from Sainte-Eulalie Church to the washhouse at the Sources de l'Orne. The history was conveyed through the listed church furnishings in an interplay of light and shadow.
