Ver: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Within the municipal territory of Ver, the Airou flows into the Sienne. The Airou valley and river form one of the forest zones of the Manche department’s Espaces naturels sensibles.

Nature

The Natura 2000 site Bassin de l’Airou covers 710 hectares and 13 municipalities: Beauchamps, Bourguenolles, Champrépus, La Haye-Pesnel, La Lande d’Airou, La Meurdraquière, La Trinité, Le Mesnil-Amand, Le Mesnil-Rogues, Le Mesnil-Villeman, Le Tanu, Rouffigny and Ver.

The well-lit aquatic habitats of the Airou, with gravelly and rocky riverbeds, are suitable for the reproduction of Atlantic salmon, bullhead, sea trout and brook lamprey. The population of freshwater pearl mussels in the Bassin de l’Airou is currently the only known population in the Manche department.

Culture

The Église Notre-Dame is located in Le Bourg in Ver. It has its own nave and its own chancel.

The Abbaye Notre-Dame de Hambye is located in the vicinity of Ver. The Abbaye Sainte-Trinité de La Lucerne is located in the wider regional surroundings of Ver. Also located in the wider regional area are the Abbaye du Mont-Saint-Michel, Mont Saint-Michel and Notre-Dame de Coutances Cathedral.
