The Abbaye du Mont-Saint-Michel monastery, the historic site of Abbaye de Montmorel, the Abbaye Sainte-Trinité de La Lucerne monastery, and the island of Mont Saint-Michel are located in the vicinity of Vains. Further afield in the region around Vains is the historic site of Abbaye Notre-Dame de la Vieuville.
