The Mur à Abeilles in Tessy-sur-Vire was built around 1810 in the hamlet of La Poëmellière by a beekeeper, using wattle and daub. It was constructed to house beehives in niches in the walls. The bee wall once housed around 100 beehives; 34 are still visible. It is considered the largest known bee wall in France.
In the vicinity of Tessy-sur-Vire, the Grotte du Diable overlooks the Vire Valley. It served as a refuge for Amédé Duval Duperron, a justice of the peace who worked in Tessy-sur-Vire in the 19th century.
In Pont-Farcy stands the Pont Bailey, a military bridge made from sections that had been used for the artificial harbor of Arromanches after the landing on June 6, 1944.

The Base des gorges de la Vire offers canoe and kayak rentals near Tessy-sur-Vire on the waterway at the Pont-Farcy campsite, for half-day or full-day trips. In the municipality of Tessy-Bocage, the Voie Verte is described as a 19-kilometer cycling route with a travel time of around 45 minutes.
The Voie Verte from Condé-sur-Vire to Fourneaux leads as far as the medieval town of Tessy-sur-Vire, where granite buildings can be seen. The Grand Tour de Tessy-Bocage begins at the church square in Tessy-sur-Vire.
Art and events
The Bords de Vire artistic trail is 32 kilometers long, connects Pont-Farcy with Saint-Lô, and includes 25 monumental outdoor works.
The Festival des Bords de Vire took place in Tessy-sur-Vire in 2026 for its eighth edition. During the festival, visitors could watch artists at work for three weeks, learn about their techniques, and talk with them about their artistic methods.
The Théâtre des Halles in Tessy-sur-Vire was the venue in 2021 for one week of the two-week residency of the team behind “Toutes leurs robes noires”.
