Culture
The Abbaye Notre-Dame de Grâce is a monastery in the vicinity of Sottevast. The Artothèque de Cherbourg, a museum, is also located there. Fort du Roule and Fort des Flamands are also in the same area; both are forts.

The Le bois aux fées route starts in the centre of Sottevast. It is rated Blue in terms of difficulty and runs along paved minor roads, forest tracks and occasionally technically challenging trails. Signs bearing the number 15 on a blue background, along with yellow painted trail markings, indicate the route. After approximately 4 km, it reaches the Bois des Roches, which is known for its megalithic monuments.
