Culture and History
Several historical and scenic points of interest are located in the vicinity of Saint-Senier-sous-Avranches. These include the historic site of Abbaye de Montmorel, the island of Mont-Saint-Michel, the Abbaye du Mont-Saint-Michel monastery and Mont-Saint-Michel beach. The wider surrounding region is also home to the Abbaye Sainte-Trinité de La Lucerne monastery and the historic site of Abbaye des Blanches.
Château d'Apilly, a historic manor house, is located in Saint-Senier-sous-Avranches. It was built in the 17th century on the site of an earlier manor house belonging to the Paisnel family. After the liberation in 1944, Château d'Apilly was almost completely destroyed by a fire accidentally caused by American residents and was partially rebuilt. The château is located in the Sée valley and was accessible via a long riding avenue.
As part of the event "Journées du patrimoine et du matrimoine 2026", a guided tour with commentary took place along the Chemin de Pivette. The meeting point was at the corner of Rue des Filatures and Rue de l'Église in Saint-Senier-sous-Avranches.

Cheval Plaisir is an equestrian centre and pony club offering riding lessons with qualified riding instructors. Activities include rides and multi-day riding tours, including crossings of the Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel with a state-certified riding guide. Cheval Plaisir also has an uncovered picnic area, parking spaces including family parking spaces, and sanitary facilities.
The Centre Equestre du Grand Fougeray offers outdoor riding lessons for all age groups, TREC rides, rides, and one- to multi-day riding tours.
