Saint-Pierre-Langers has been awarded the « Village Patrimoine » designation.

Culture and History

The oldest parts of Saint-Pierre Church date back to the 12th century. The church is shaped like a Latin cross. Its pulpit dates from 1759; the carved rood beam in Saint-Pierre Church is called « perque » and dates from the early 19th century.

The present-day Château de Saint-Pierre-Langers stands on the site of a former feudal castle and is privately owned. Anatole France spent time in Saint-Pierre-Langers during his youth. An old inn next to Saint-Pierre Church is associated with Anatole France.

Nature and Landscape

The pond of Saint-Pierre-Langers once bordered the outer bailey of the feudal castle. The Chêne des plaids is more than 500 years old and has been designated as a remarkable tree since 2023.

Paths and Location

The centre of Saint-Pierre-Langers is crossed by the Chemin de randonnée du Mont Saint-Michel hiking trail. An equestrian trail connects Normandy with Brittany. Saint-Pierre-Langers is located at the intersection of the two major road routes RD 973 and RD 109.
