Saint-Germain-de-Tournebut is part of the continental type 2 ZNIEFF “Bassin de la Sinope”, a landscape of valleys, wet meadows, heathlands and forests. The Bassin de la Sinope contains high-quality aquatic habitats; the Sinope and its tributaries have a fish fauna characteristic of salmonid waters near the coast.

Hiking
The La Brisette route is an easy 8.7 km hike and takes approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes. It is not served by the Cap Cotentin bus network.
The Pont ès Quervieux is a single-arch packhorse bridge in the restored wetland near the church. The Étang Neuf covers 0.9 hectares; hikers appreciate it for its tranquillity and viewpoint.
Culture
The Château de la Brisette is an 18th-century château in Saint-Germain-de-Tournebut and is privately owned. Its façades and roofs, as well as those of its outbuildings and chapel, have been partially protected as historic monuments since 16 April 1975.
The Château de Tournebut already existed in 1248. The buildings visible today enclose a square courtyard and an inner garden and date from the 16th and 18th centuries.
The Église Saint-Germain-d’Auxerre has a lateral porch with a pointed arch that may date from the 13th century.
