Ponts: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
The first known written references to the Moulin de Cavigny date back to the Middle Ages.
History
In 1129, Robert d’Avranches, a seigneur, donated the Moulin de Cavigny to Mont Saint-Michel. At that time, the Moulin de Cavigny had four pairs of millstones and four wheels.
The Moulin de Cavigny continued its milling operations until 1985; this was connected with the retirement of its last officially appointed miller, Auguste Gilbert. After the war, the Moulin de Cavigny was partially rebuilt, redesigned and equipped with modern milling technology. Today, it has two water wheels and includes a gîte where holidaymakers are welcomed.
If Ponts, with the Moulin de Cavigny and Lulu et Dame Nature, is on your itinerary, renting a holiday apartment may be worth considering.
