Culture and history
The Église Saint-Pierre contains a 14th-century statue of the Virgin Mary with the Christ Child. Parishioners buried it to protect it from damage during the Revolutionary period; today, it is protected as a historic monument. The same church also displays a suspended model of an old sailing ship as a maritime ex-voto.
The Ferme de la Vesquerie is a former seigneurial manor dating from the 15th century. Le Manoir housed a small seminary from 1839 to 1851. Three Commonwealth war graves from the 1939–1945 war are located in the church cemetery of Muneville-sur-Mer, 11 metres northwest of the church’s northwestern corner. Three airmen from the 297th Squadron of 38 Group are also buried in the cemetery of Muneville-sur-Mer.
