Culture and History

The church of Lingreville is dedicated to Saint Martin and dates back to the 13th century. Its double transept was created through renovations carried out in 1864–1865. The Château de Lingreville was built by the Belin family in the 17th century. After it was demolished in 1976, the ruins of two large dovecotes and the enclosing wall remained.

Hiking and Trails

The 22-kilometre “À l’ombre des dunes” hiking trail connects coastal and bocage landscapes and passes through Lingreville, Annoville, Hauteville and Montmartin. The 21-kilometre “Circuit des maraîchers” runs through Annoville and Lingreville. In the Lingreville area, loop trail no. 7 of the Route des havres offers extensive, little-visited areas for immersing yourself in wild and protected nature.

Landscape and Nature

The dunes of Lingreville are designated as a type 1 ZNIEFF area and have been classified as a Natura 2000 site since 2004. The Havre de la Vanlée extends across Lingreville, Bréhal and Bricqueville-sur-Mer and is classified as a Natura 2000 site. Route 375 crosses this area and can be flooded during high tides.
