Le Dézert: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Le Dézert is home to the Église Saint-Martin du Dézert, a Romanesque building with modillions, capitals and six-part vaults. Inside, there is an 18th-century statue of the Virgin Mary with the infant Jesus. The statue “Sainte femme couronnée”, dating from the 17th century, can also be found there; it is listed as a protected object.

Culture and History
The Manoir Saint-Ortaire, also known as the Manoir de la Mare du Dézert, dates from the first half of the 16th century and is protected as a historic monument. Its double lower hall and upper hall illustrate the layout of a late-medieval and early-Renaissance manor house in the Manche department.
The privately owned Logis de La Perrine in Le Dézert dates from 1755/1756. It formerly housed a leprosarium, the Chapelle Sainte-Catherine and a priory of the Trinitarian Order.
Religious Sites
The Chapelle Saint-Ortaire in Le Dézert dates from the late 15th century; however, archives and archaeological finds point to earlier origins. It belongs to the private estate of the Manoir Saint-Ortaire.
The Fontaine Saint-Ortaire is located just a few steps from the Chapelle Saint-Ortaire. According to tradition, its water has been used for an unspecified length of time because of its reputed healing properties. Following its restoration, the Chapelle Saint-Ortaire was reopened to pilgrims on the feast day of Saint Ortaire from 2004 onwards; a mass is celebrated there around Pentecost.

The “Du Dézert au bois du Hommet” walking route begins at the Place de l’église in Le Dézert. The Église Saint-Martin du Dézert is located at this starting point.
