Nature
The “Bassin de l'Airou” Natura 2000 site encompasses La Lande-d'Airou and covers 852.69 hectares. The six notable species found in this area include Atlantic salmon, freshwater pearl mussel, sea lamprey, slender dragonfly, European brook lamprey, and bullhead.

Culture
The church in La Lande-d'Airou has been fully protected as a historic monument since 30 December 1987. The Église Saint-Martin in La Lande-d'Airou contains a polychrome-painted statue of Sainte Suzanne martyre made of terracotta or stone. The sacristy of the Église Saint-Martin also contains a chalice with a paten made of silver and gilded silver dating from the late 18th century.
The Viaduc du Guibel was built in 1869 on the occasion of the inauguration of the Paris–Granville railway line. It is located between Le Tanu and La Lande-d'Airou; there are hiking trails at the Viaduc du Guibel.
In the vicinity of La Lande-d'Airou are the Abbaye Sainte-Trinité de La Lucerne monastery and the Abbaye Notre-Dame de Hambye church. In the wider regional area are the historic site of the Abbaye de Montmorel and the Château de Vire castle.
