Culture

The Église Saint-Michel de Graignes has been protected in its entirety since 16 June 2005. It was built from 1956 to 1958 under the direction of architect Guy Pison (1905–1986). Its load-bearing structure was deliberately left visible and displays various concrete treatments, including reinforced concrete, aggregate concrete, shuttered concrete, bush-hammered concrete and exposed aggregate concrete. Its fittings also include stained-glass windows made from coloured glass panels by the stained-glass artist François Chapuis (1928–2002).

The preserved choir of the former church of Graignes became the Mémorial franco-américain.

The Hippodrome de Graignes is a trotting track with a 1,034-metre sand track and a left-handed course. More than 30 race meetings and events take place there throughout the year.
