Culture
The Notre-Dame church in Cambernon was remodeled in the 18th century and has a Gothic porch. The Manoir des Réaux is a rural 16th-century building with two towers at opposite corners. Its architectural details include a stone staircase with two straight flights and a central string wall.
At the Manoir des Réaux, the façades—with the exception of the front façade’s exterior staircase entrance—the roofs, and the interior staircase have been protected as a monument historique by a decree dated September 11, 1989. The Notre-Dame de l’Assomption church in Cambernon is probably located on the site of an earlier pilgrimage chapel dedicated to Notre-Dame de Pitié in the hamlet of La Motte.
La Parenthèse is open to everyone on Wednesday afternoons for self-guided visits for a voluntary fee. When planning a trip, you may wish to make renting a holiday apartment in Cambernon your priority.
Coutances Cathedral, Notre-Dame de Coutances, is a church in the vicinity of Cambernon. In the wider region are the Abbaye Saint-Trinité de Lessay as an abbey, the Abbaye de Boulaye as a historic site, and the Abbaye Notre-Dame de Hambye as a church.
Routes
A section of the Cambernon voie verte runs through the municipality of Cambernon. The voie verte network also includes a connection from Cambernon (Coutances) to Rocheville.
Landscape
The local Cambernon diorite is a light-colored rock with dark veins. This rock was used for monuments and for the masonry of numerous houses in the village. A wall of Cambernon town hall displays a visible example of the local diorite.
