Culture and history
The Église Notre-Dame was classified as a historic monument of France by decree of 11 June 1986. In Bréville-sur-Mer, there is a signposted tour of the local history featuring documented and illustrated exhibition panels.
In 1854, the building became the property of Monsieur and Madame Victor Le Mare, who transformed it into a château in the Louis XIII style. Next to the church in Bréville-sur-Mer is the Fontaine Saint-Hélier, referred to as the “fontaine Saint-Hélier”.
