The Sentier de Maraval is a moderately difficult, 8.6-kilometre circular trail marked PR and awarded the FFRandonnée® quality label.

Nature
The Sentier de Maraval passes through the red dunes of the Rougier de Maraval and then reaches the village of Tonnac. The red dunes of the Rougier de Maraval formed more than 250 million years ago in a tropical climate; eroded argillites form ravines and rounded hills there.
The area of the red dunes of the Rougier de Maraval has been designated an Espace Naturel Sensible by the Tarn département. Animals and plants adapted to nutrient-poor and sensitive soils live in the area of the red dunes of the Rougier de Maraval.
Routes
The Sentier de Maraval can be started at the car park next to the cemetery in Tonnac. The trail can also be started at Cordes-Vindrac railway station, which is served by the liO train on the Toulouse–Villefranche-de-Rouergue route and by the liO bus on line 707 (Albi–Cordes).
Culture
The Church of Saint-Pierre houses three paintings by the painter Bénézet, who was from Toulouse. It has two side chapels that may have been added later. The Church of Saint-Pierre overlooks the old stone houses of Tonnac, most of which have been renovated. A former château, now in ruins, was attached to the Church of Saint-Pierre.
The traditional Circuit des crèches in the Pays cordais includes Tonnac. As part of the Circuit des crèches, the churches that are usually closed, including the church in Tonnac, were to be open to visitors on Sundays 21 and 28 December from 2 to 5 p.m.
