Rabastens displays its history particularly clearly at the Notre-Dame du Bourg church, which is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site “Chemins de Saint-Jacques de Compostelle en France”. Its features include wall paintings dating from around 1260; one chapel is also dedicated entirely to the saint.

Culture and History
The Musée du Pays Rabastinois is an art and history museum with collections on archaeology, crafts, fine and decorative arts, and sacred art. Part of the mosaic from the Gallo-Roman archaeological site of Las Peyras can also be seen there.
In Rabastens, part of the brick fortifications dating mainly from the Middle Ages has been preserved, including the Porte du Moulin. A chicane, as well as the locations of former gates and portcullises, are still visible.
In the wider regional area around Rabastens lies the historic site of Abbaye Notre-Dame de Candeil. The Église Saint-Eugène de Vieux is also located in this wider regional area.
Paths and Landscape
The 2.5 km walk to the Chapelle de Puycheval leads to a viewpoint with a panorama stretching from the Montagne Noire to the Pyrenees, as well as an orientation table. The Sentier de la plaine bears the FFRandonnée® label of the Tarn département.
Local Products
At the Verger de Foncoussières, visitors can pick fruit themselves. The orchard also has a farm shop selling its own products and other local produce.
