The Château de Ferrières was partially classified as a historic monument on 10 May 1988. It was probably built or rebuilt by Guillaume Guilhot in the first half of the 16th century; however, there is no historical evidence to support this attribution.

The seigneurie of Ferrières is first mentioned in a document dating from 1276.

The Musée du Protestantisme – De la Réforme à la Laïcité was founded in 1968 and has been a Musée de France since 2003. It offers a tour through five centuries of the history of Protestantism, religious pluralism, tolerance and secularism. Its programme includes themed activities, workshops for children, conferences and temporary exhibitions.
