A tangible testament to the town’s history is the Pigeonnier de la Brunié: this 17th-century dovecote in Damiatte was classified as a Monument historique by decree on 13 August 1990.

Culture
Damiatte was founded in 1295 by Jean de Monfort, the Lord of Castres. On Avenue de Lavaur, there is a washhouse built in 1893 and renovated in 2018 to preserve this cultural heritage in good condition. The Church of Saint Martin contains stained-glass windows and paintings depicting the conversions of Saint Augustine and Saint Paul. A portrait of Félicie, created by Monsieur BAÏLE in 2021, can also be seen on the steps leading to the washhouse.
Damiatte railway station is a local passenger station with two platforms.
Nature
The Circuit des Plateaux is an easy 13.5-kilometre circular hike marked with PR trail signs. It takes around 3 hours and 15 minutes and starts at the Plan d’eau de Saint-Charles. The route passes the Ecuries de Corbière equestrian centre before continuing along wooded paths and through a landscape of fields and forests. From the Agout Valley, it leads to higher hills with a Tuscan-like, pastel-coloured character.
At Lac de la Cahuzière, there is a fishing pier and an accessible entrance for people with disabilities. There is also a fitness trail and a carp pond.
Activities
The Ecuries de Corbière offers riding lessons and discovery rides in natural surroundings and welcomes people of all ages. Poney City offers numerous equestrian activities, including introductory sessions, progression courses, competitions, trail rides, lessons and activities for baby riders. It provides riding lessons with ponies and horses, as well as playful riding education for all age groups from one year old.
Agriculture
La Ferme aux Prim’Verts offers an on-farm shop on Tuesdays and Fridays from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., as well as an open day on the first Sunday in May. The farm grows medicinal plants, harvests them by hand at the appropriate time and dries them for herbal teas. La Ferme aux Prim’Verts also keeps a small herd of Montagne noire sheep outdoors and feeds them exclusively grass and hay.
Cavailles Thibault sells its farm products directly from the farm and offers home delivery. It is a 32-hectare organic farm that grows cereals and produces organic poultry, eggs, young cattle and pigs; the feed is produced on site.
