Culture and History
The history of Cadalen includes the former Notre-Dame Church. Its preserved south portal is crowned by a corbelled cornice and a Christogram. The former church dates from the 12th century and was listed as a historic monument in 1927. According to tradition, Cadalen grew up around the Notre-Dame du Saule church.
The Church of Gabriac also bears traces of history: the choir and transept are older than the nave and feature rib vaults. The Church of Gabriac was listed as a historic monument in 1927. Cadalen is also home to numerous dovecotes typical of the region.

Landscape
Cadalen features a hilly landscape, small streams, and numerous small lakes. Vineyards can be found along the northern outskirts of Cadalen.
Wine and Local Traditions
Domaine des Vergnades in Cadalen, on the left bank of the Tarn, has been a family-run business since 1860 and has been passed down through five generations. Visitors are welcomed at Domaine des Vergnades year-round by appointment for tours and wine tastings.
The cellar of Domaine des Vergnades is located at the foot of a 19th-century dovecote and showcases the style typical of the Gaillacois region.
Geographical Location
The D4 leads from Cadalen to Gaillac and the A68; this motorway provides access to Albi to the northeast and Toulouse to the southwest.
