Anglès originated as a fortified village in the 13th century; at that time, the place was known by the name “Castrum de Angulis”. The Protestant temple of Anglès bears witness to the village’s religious history.
The Portail Bas was built in the 17th century and is the only surviving structure of Anglès’s former fortification wall.

Nature and trails
