Culture and history

The Notre-Dame-des-Grâces Chapel was founded in 1471 by Pierre de Pause, Lord of Mondésir, as a funerary chapel for himself and his family. By decree of 30 April 1948, it was classified as a protected monument.

The parish church of Saint-Peyronis is documented as having belonged to the Templar commandery of Lacapelle-Livron in 1236 and was rebuilt in 1542. The commandery of Lacapelle-Livron has been documented since 1236; it is flanked by a Romanesque church and a 13th-century fortified bell tower.
