Soucirac: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Culture

The Fosses Dolmen is listed as a historic monument; it was listed by decree of 12 July 1989. It is located on the Les Combeles path, just over 2 km from the centre of Soucirac.

The village is home to the Notre-Dame-de-l’Assomption church, which was almost completely rebuilt in 1878. Some sections of wall from the medieval church have been preserved; several carved stones were placed in the cemetery. CinéLot also brings culture to the villages of the Lot département: its mobile cinema programme offers screenings there every month, and the film “La Grande Vadrouille” was shown in Soucirac as part of this programme.

Nature and Walking Trails

Soucirac is part of the Parc naturel régional des Causses du Quercy. The terrain around Soucirac has an elevation difference of more than 100 metres and offers opportunities for walks throughout the municipality. During walks through the unspoilt countryside and livestock-farming areas, there are plenty of opportunities to see roe deer, squirrels, foxes, horses, cows and sheep.

The Chemin des Pechs circular trail leads from Soucirac through a varied succession of hamlets where stone and vegetation blend together. It passes the Notre-Dame-de-l’Assomption church in Soucirac and the Fontaine Saint-Pantaléon, formerly known for its healing properties. A small, steep path below the village leads directly to the Fontaine Saint-Pantaléon and its washhouse.

The “Sur les Traces de Napoléon” trail offers a 20-km route for experienced runners, a 12-km route for other runners and a 5-km walk for families.

Cycling

The Boucle des Crêtes is a circular cycling route suitable for bicycles with electric pedal assistance. The La Boucle des Crêtes cycling route passes through Soucirac as well as Labastide-Murat, Montfaucon, Séniergues, Ginouillac and Vaillac. La Boucle des Crêtes is 32 km long, moderately difficult and has a stated duration of three hours.
