Wine

Domaine du Prince cultivates 24 hectares of vineyards on the causse and welcomes visitors every day of the week to taste various vintages of Cahors wine.

Château Combel-La-Serre completed its conversion to organic farming in 2013 with Ecocert certification. The family-run estate covers 23 hectares: 21 hectares are planted with Malbec, 1 hectare with Vermentino and 1 hectare with Albariño.

Culture

The Gothic church in Saint-Vincent-Rive-d'Olt was registered as a historic monument on 9 November 2015. It has a Renaissance portal dating from 1540. At the entrance to the Église Saint-Vincent there is also a 17th-century baptismal font made of pink marble, with an oval, fluted basin and a wrought-iron grille.

A lane leading to the public square features Renaissance windows; they were added to the supplementary inventory of historic monuments in 1926. The monument with the bust of Léon Lafage was inaugurated on 31 August 1958.

At the church of Saint-Nazaire in Cournou, an extensive building campaign in the 19th century included, in particular, the present portal and bell tower. Based on the quality of the dressed masonry, the earliest building phase may date from the 12th or 13th century.

In the 17th century, Saint-Nazaire was extended with two side chapels, built specifically for altarpieces dedicated to the Virgin Mary and Saint James; this testifies to the heavy pilgrim traffic at the time. The altarpiece of Saint James of Compostela is a Baroque work from the second half of the 17th century with a monumental central statue. The altarpiece ensemble of the side altar dedicated to the Virgin Mary comprises three gilded and polychrome statues in niches. The altarpiece in the north chapel has been listed as a movable cultural object since 14 June 2007. The presence of a priest is documented for the year 1320.

Landscape

The Bondoire stream once powered three mills, including the formerly fortified lower mill with two millstones.

Routes and events

The road circuit through the Cahors vineyards reaches Saint-Vincent-Rive-d'Olt on its third stage. Les Foulées du Malbec is an annual running and walking event in Saint-Vincent-Rive-d'Olt.

The GR36 long-distance hiking trail from Laramière to Bonaguil passes through Saint-Vincent-Rive-d'Olt, which is listed there as point 17.
