Culture and History
The Church of Saint-Pierre-ès-Liens in Rampoux was extended at the beginning of the 16th century by two chapels, which form a transept-like layout. The south chapel contains well-restored wall paintings from the late 15th or early 16th century. They depict the Annunciation, the Flagellation, the Crucifixion and the Entombment.
Outside worship services, the Church of Saint-Pierre-ès-Liens is closed to the public. The key can be collected from the Rampoux municipal administration.
The historical details of the village also include a wooden frame that was formerly used to keep cattle still for shoeing. Rampoux is organised around a watering trough where the herds used to stop in the morning and evening.
