Le Bouyssou is situated on a sunny slope in a very hilly, wooded area with numerous streams. The former Figeac–Gramat Roman road runs near Le Bouyssou.
Landscape and Waterways
The ZNIEFF Ruisseau de Pont de Mol is located within the municipality of Le Bouyssou. The Ruisseau de Pont de Mol is a first-category fishing stream with cool water and coarse bed substrate.
Brown trout, minnow and bullhead are found in its catchment area. These species are protected under a French ministerial decree dated 8 December 1988.
Culture and History
The main construction phase of the Sainte-Croix church in Le Bouyssou dates back to the 12th century. The Romanesque parts of Sainte-Croix church were classified as historic monuments by a decree dated 20 October 1923.
Le Bouyssou's traditional rural heritage includes washhouses, small rural buildings with barns, and scattered shelters.

The Forêt-Jardin activity takes place at Lou Baptistou, in the hamlet of La Grassetie, 46120 Le Bouyssou. It includes a visit to a forest garden and an explanation of how it works.
