Gorses: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Gorses is situated around Lac du Tolerme and has clear connections to cycling and hiking routes. La Tolermoise starts on the shores of Lac du Tolerme at the arch on the Gorses side and includes three mountain bike routes of 40 km, 32 km and 20 km.

As part of La Tolermoise, a 13-km hike is organised along the same route as the 13-km trail; it can be extended to 17 km with the 4-km loop around the lake. Also as part of La Tolermoise, two trail routes of 13 km and 17 km are organised.

On the peninsula of Lac du Tolerme in Gorses, there is a shaded picnic area equipped with a barbecue. Gorses has natural areas that are recognised for their ecological importance. Gorses’s rural heritage is characterised by rye cultivation and chestnut groves.

Culture

During the Second World War, Gorses was home to a maquis established at the Manoir de Lantuéjoul. Gorses is also included in the guided tours of the towns and villages organised by the Pays d’Art et d’Histoire du Grand Figeac.

Events

Meals are available at the Guinguette du Tolerme by reservation. On Wednesdays, performances by artists with dancing to musette music are scheduled there. From the beginning of May to the end of September, there was an event at Lac du Tolerme every Wednesday at the Guinguette du Tolerme.
