Frayssinhes: holiday apartments and houses
Culture
The parish church of Saint-Julien is located in the village of Frayssinhes in Occitania. Of the Romanesque parish church, only the apse and the chancel bay, built from ashlar stones, have been preserved; the apse and chancel bay may date from the 12th century. In its present condition, the church also has a western tower porch and a nave flanked by two side aisles.
Anyone wishing to rent a holiday apartment for their stay in Frayssinhes is therefore making a specific accommodation choice.
The La Clef des Arts aux Champs association was founded in December 2015 in the hamlet of Lavalade in Frayssinhes. Today, it bases its activities in the village around the multipurpose hall; both the multipurpose hall and the church host various performances. The programme includes concerts, conferences, readings, exhibitions, entertainment, as well as courses and workshops for all age groups and audiences.
The municipality restored the Lavalade bread oven as part of its multi-year programme to preserve small-scale cultural heritage. At its inauguration, local bakers Guy and Philippe Raynal, together with Guy Rieu, prepared bread, boudin tatins and pizzas baked in the oven.
