The Le Lac des Vergnes circular trail begins in Comiac. It is 11.3 kilometres long and is maintained and signposted by the Communauté de Communes de Cauvaldor. Circular trail A is an 8-kilometre discovery walk through the former municipal area of Comiac, featuring landscapes, old structures and typical hamlets. Culture and history
The earliest known references to the Church of Saint John the Baptist date back to the beginning of the 14th century. In the charter of customs granted by Gilbert de Vayrac in 1304, it is named as the first reference point for defining the boundaries of the Comiac area. Significant medieval remains are particularly visible at the church's chevet and north chapel.
The bas-relief Dieu au Maillet dates from the 10th or 11th century and was restored by the local association after its rediscovery. As a sculpture, Dieu au Maillet is displayed in the Church of Saint John the Baptist in Comiac. The Ferme in Aleyrangues, Comiac, is partially listed as a monument historique. The protection fully covers the dwelling and the fountain, as well as the façades and roofs of the two barns and stable buildings; the listing was made by decree of 20 March 2023.
The Château de Comiac fell into English hands in 1377 during the Hundred Years' War.
