Above the village of Cazals stands the Castrum de Cazals, a former fortified settlement dating from the 12th century. Traces of the walls, former fortified entrances, a corner tower and the site of the castle chapel can still be seen at the castrum. The Castrum de Cazals is classified as a “Monument historique”.
Cazals lies along a side route, the “cami roumieu”, used by pilgrims on the Way of Saint James who continue to Fumel via Rocamadour and its sanctuary.

Paths and Water
Cazals has numerous marked walking trails. The Circuit de l’église de Luziers is a 9.7 km circular route that leads to the medieval centre of Cazals.
The Plan d’eau de la Cayre covers 2.7 hectares. Thanks to its shady banks and gentle slopes, all fishing techniques can be practised there. In July and August, the Plan d’eau de la Cayre offers a safe bathing area.
Culture
The Notre-Dame de Ginolhac church was rebuilt at the end of the 19th century on the foundations of an older Romanesque building. The Chapelle de Perboyre was built between 1873 and 1875 in honour of Blessed Jean-Gabriel Perboyre.
The Atelier-Musée des Vieilles Mécaniques showcases the development of rural agricultural technology from 1930 to the present day. On display are agricultural tractors, steam engines and stationary engines dating from 1930 to 1970; most of the equipment has been restored and is operational.
Local Life
A market takes place in Cazals on Sunday mornings, attracting producers, families and other interested visitors.
