Culture and history
The Gallo-Roman settlement of Saléchan is documented by numerous archaeological remains. They were discovered on Mount Hourmigué and in the village. The village centre also contains a very dense concentration of old buildings.
The Saint-Julien de Saléchan Chapel is one of the oldest religious buildings in the Neste Barousse. It was built between the 11th and 13th centuries. Its structure contains numerous reused ancient building elements, including remains of funerary monuments.
Biotite mica schist is exposed almost everywhere in Saléchan and was used to build the houses.

Nature
Lac de Saléchan is a restored, wooded former gravel extraction site on the banks of the Garonne and is ideal for walking and picnicking. It consists of three lakes and is designated for fishing all year round. Swimming and boating are prohibited there.
Cycling
Saléchan-Siradan railway station is connected to the Transgarona cycle route. At the same time, the station serves as a starting point for cycling tours through the Barousse Valley.
The Saint-Julien de Saléchan Chapel is less than a 20-minute walk from Saléchan-Siradan railway station.
