Culture and History
The Chapelle des Templiers church is located in the vicinity of Aragnouet. It was built between 1160 and 1170 and was part of a complex with a hospice that has since been destroyed. The hospice was operated by the Hospitallers of Saint John of Jerusalem until the 17th century and could accommodate travelers crossing the passes. The Chapelle des Templiers is partially protected as a historic monument; the protection was established on January 3, 1939, and February 6, 1952.
The Chapelle Notre-Dame de Meyabat church is also located in the vicinity of Aragnouet. The Église Saint-Blaise-et-Saint-Martin d'Ancizan church is located in the surroundings of Aragnouet, while the Église Saint-Exupère church is located in the wider regional area around Aragnouet.
