Architectural history

The Gascon name of Scieurac-et-Flourès is Siurac e Florès. The former church of Flourès was demolished in 1854. Its materials were used to build the school, which is now the town hall, and also to renovate Saint-Pierre Church.

Saint-Pierre Church has Romanesque origins. In 2012, it had recently been renovated. The renovation included the exterior rendering, the interior decoration and the bell tower staircase.

History

In 1278, Scieurac-et-Flourès was a fief of the Pardailhan family. For three centuries, the village was under the rule of the D'Antras family. Until the French Revolution, Scieurac-et-Flourès was administered by Esparbès de Lussan.
