Culture and History

The Église de Pléhaut was built in 1840 near the château, with the cemetery directly adjoining it. After the feudal castle disappeared, a second château was built in Saint-Jean-Poutge in the 18th century.

Saint-Jean-Poutge is connected by the east-west Toulouse–Bayonne road along the RN 124. In the wider region around Saint-Jean-Poutge are the Musée des Jacobins museum, the Abbaye de Flaran abbey, the Château de Loubersan castle and the Abbaye de Boüillas historic site.
