Mansempuy is home to the Église Saint-Martin, a rural medieval church dedicated to Saint Martin. The bell-wall tower, built from dressed stone, dates from the 15th century; the bell, which also dates from this century, bears an inscription and a trefoil cross.
Access to the interior of the Église Saint-Martin is through a wooden portal beneath a porch on the northwest side. The furnishings include eight broad, tall round-arched windows with stained glass. The nave is flanked by a single chapel, the Chapel of the Virgin Mary.
Another detail of the interior is the white marble altar. It is decorated with four small columns with foliage capitals bearing trefoil arches. The stained-glass windows depict the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Saint Martin, Saint Peter, Joan of Arc, and the Virgin Mary.

History
The place name also points to the village’s history: Mansempuy may be composed of the medieval Latin “manse,” meaning a small feudal estate, and “puy,” meaning height. Mansempuy became an estate and parish of the Viscounty of Fezensaguet and the Diocese of Lectoure. In the 13th century, the village’s seigneurial lordship belonged to the de Gières family.
